Suriya's last two blockbusters, 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim,' released directly to digital, will be re-released in theatres shortly. On the occasion of Suriya's birthday, the films 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim' featuring Suriya will air in Chennai theatres from July 22 to July 24. Suriya's birthday is on July 23, and to commemorate the event, movie producers are devising ways for the actor's fans to enjoy the films in theatres.
'Soorarai Pottru,' directed by Sudha Kongara, is a biographical drama about the development of a businessman who attempts to create an aircraft service for people on a tight budget. Many people loved the film since it delivered an emotional story. GV Prakash wrote the music for the film.
'Jai Bhim,' on the other hand, is an intense film based on real-life incidents. The film is about how lawyer Chandru battles for the fundamental rights of tribal people in Tamil Nadu. The event comes to light after a member of the Irular tribe is wrongly accused of stealing and dies in police custody. In the film, Suriya plays the role of Justice Chandru.
Following 'Vanangaan,' Suriya will begin filming for his next feature, 'Vaadivaasal,' directed by Vetrimaaran. He is also working on a couple of projects with directors Sudha Kongara and Siva.
