Friday June 5 marks World Environment Day. Actor Arjun Kapoor who is currently spending his time in his mumbai home during the lockdown has a new request for his fans and followers. The Gunday actor took to Instagram to urge his fans and followers to quit using all plastic products. Arjun Kapoor joined hands with actress Bhumi Pednekar in raising awareness about climate conservation.
Thanking Bhumi Pednekar for her initiative Arjun Kapoor said, "This #WorldEnvironmentDay, my #OneWishForTheEarth is we curb using plastic and help protect planet Earth. Let's all become more conscious of our actions and be #ClimateWarriors! Thanks @bhumipednekar for spreading awareness on climate conservation."
Bhumi soon responded saying, "Thank you so much @arjunkapoor We totally need to be more responsible about our use of plastic :) Thank you for your support."
In the same video Arjun Kapoor said that the only thing that he can think of is the essential need to curb the use of plastic. He said, "Let's reduce the use of plastic on a day to day basis. We have already caused a lot of harm unknowingly and knowingly in some cases." The Panipat actor also emphasized on the loss of marine life around Mumbai's coast due to plastic.
He concluded the video saying, "Small changes matter. I'm a climate warrior, are you?"
Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar also joined Dia Mirza on her Instagram live show where the two talked about climate activism and conservation. Dia Mirza who is a UN Goodwill Ambassador quit using all plastic materials a few years ago.
