Oscar Nominations Today - All Eyes On NTR, Rajamouli And RRR

The nominations for this year's Oscar awards will be out at 7 - 7:30 PM according to the Indian Standard Time today. The nominations process began a couple of days ago, and considering the hype that is surrounding NTR's performance in RRR, everyone is waiting with bated breath for the nominations to be out. A lot of popular Hollywood media outlets have predicted that NTR could potentially nominated. If the actor manages to get nominated, then that would be huge.

NTR's potential nomination would create history for Indian cinema on the whole, and be a matter of pride for Telugu cinema. If the actor gets nominated, then it would be the first-ever nomination for an Indian actor at the Oscars. On the other hand, RRR is also expected to get a nomination for Naatu Naatu in the Best Original Song category. The song won an award at the Golden Globes and is expected to win an Oscar as well. RRR is also expected to get nominated in the Best Foreign Film category as well. Music director MM Keeravani accepted the Golden Globe award, and created history by winning the award. This is because RRR is the first ever direct Indian film to have been able to achieve this feat. The entire team of RRR was present at the Golden Globes, and the entire team is expected to attend the Oscars as well. Additionally, RRR also won the 46th Japan Academy Award for Best Foreign Film recently. This was another new achievement for the film.
