Songs are the major part in the movies. Customarily, no matter which genre it is, 6 songs must be there in the film. But these days, the trend is changing and the basic template of the Indian movie has faded out. Some movies are coming out with 3 to 4 songs while some opt for nothing in the film.
It says that the audience is bored when a song is played in the theatre. When all the singers, lyricists etc are commenting that songs should be there in the films, legendary lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastry has a different opinion. He feels that there is no need for a fixed number of songs as the taste of the audience is changing.
"The audience is going out of the theatres whenever a song comes. They feel like the songs are deviating." Said Sirivennela. This Padma Shri awardee opined that there are no good songs in the films these days. He also felt the need to tell producers to put their budget on making songs or rather prefer removing them from the movie.
