Mega Nephew Panja Vaishnav Tej is all set to make his acting debut with his upcoming movie 'Uppena'. Touted to be a period love story, Buchi Babu Sana who previously worked as an associate under director Sukumar is helming this project. The movie unit is making plans to bring the film to the theatres on May 7th, which marks the release date of super hit film Arya.
Featuring Krithi Shetty as the female lead, the makers have already impressed the audience with the promotional material. Initially, the makers have locked April 2nd as the official release date of the film. But we already know that due to the Coronavirus outbreak the government has shut down schools, malls as well as theatres till 31st of this month. So, as per the latest reports, the makers are now in plans to postpone the release and are considering May 7th as the release date of the film. This will be a perfect release date for the makers. Since the film's director Buchi Babu earlier worked with Sukumar, it will be a nice tribute for the director. However, the official announcement regarding the same is yet to come out. Kollywood Actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing a crucial role in this movie.
Rumours are rife that Vijay Sethupathi will appear as the heroine's father in this film. Sukumar Writings in association with Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this project which is Devi Sri Prasad's musical. Shyam Prasad is cranking the camera. Stay tuned to us for more details.
