Abhishek Pathak's film "Drishyam 2," has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and a huge box office success. The movie starred Ajay Devgn as the lead. The producers are happy to report that Panorama Studios International LTD has purchased the remake rights for "Drishyam" and "Drishyam 2" in all non-Indian languages.
Panorama Studios International LTD released a statement. It said, "After the tremendous success of 'Drishyam 2' (in Hindi), Panorama Studios International Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has acquired remake rights of the Malayalam language films 'Drishyam' and 'Drishyam 2' in all non-Indian languages i.e. all foreign languages including English, but excluding Filipino, Sinhala, and Indonesian. Adding to the multiple languages rights for the film, we have also acquired the rights of the Chinese Language remake of 'Drishyam 2'. We are now in negotiations to produce the film in Korea, Japan, and Hollywood."
2013 saw the debut of "Drishyam" in the Malayalam language. Mohanlal played the lead in the movie. It was directed by Jeethu Joseph. The happy family of Georgekutty is the subject of the movie's narrative. When his family commits an unfortunate crime, their peaceful existence is destroyed. He sets out to keep his family and their secret safe. The plot is continued in the second half of the movie, which was made available on Amazon Prime Video in 2021.
The movie was also remade into Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The leading actors in the Indian remakes of the movie were Ajay Devgn, Kamal Haasan, and Venkatesh. The movie was successful across the board, and the franchise attracted a sizable fan base.
When "Drishyam 2" was released in 2022, the box office was going through a slow period. The movie resulted in audiences going to the theatres and enjoying the film. At the box office, the movie brought in more than Rs. 300 cr. Tabu and Shriya Saran are also featured in the movie.
Additionally, "Drishyam" was translated into a few other languages outside of India.
