These days, the remunerations of star heroes have skyrocketed and within that budget, at least, ten small films will get made. Producers are cost-cutting on the film's production to compensate for the remuneration of the star heroes. We hear that Superstar Mahesh Babu is receiving remuneration of Rs. 50 crores for his upcoming film Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Considering the fact that it has a stellar star cast and great production values, the budget might be somewhere around Rs. 100 crores. Thus, the film has to do a business of 100 crores to recover the money. Meanwhile, another star hero Pawan Kalyan also enjoys a massive fan following among the Telugu states.
The Jalsa actor is making his comeback into the films after a gap of two years. He has signed to play the lead role in the Telugu remake of Hindi hit film Pink. According to the tinsel town sources, Pawan is taking a remuneration of Rs.50 crores for this movie.
Pink is not a commercial film and we can't expect heavy returns on it. Thus, the makers have decided to make the film with half of the budget in Pawan's remuneration. Thus, the film will get made in 25 crores. If the total budget is around 75-80 crores, there are high chances of the film to be on the safe side. As most of the film takes place in a court and director is not a star in demand, the film can be easily made within that budget, opined the sources.
