More and more information is slowly coming out about the upcoming Batman film. Directed by Mat Revees the film stars Robert Pattinson, famous for his role in the Twilight franchise as Batman. Most recently the director shared a picture of Peter Sarsgaard with a caption that reads, 'Hi Peter.'
Since Reeves has previously announced cast members in a similar fashion, Peter is most certainly going to appear in The Batman film. Sources speculate that Sarsgaard will be playing the role of a corrupt cop or that of a district attorney. The role seems oddly similar to the character of Harvey Dent who later turns into the villain, Two-Face.
Other cast members include Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin and John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone. Jeffrey Wright will play the role of Commissioner Gordon, while Andy Serkis takes on the role of Batman's surrogate father Alfred.
Sarsgaard's last appearance in a superhero film goes back to 2011. He was one of the cast members of the Green Lantern film.
Warner Bros is all set to release The Batman on June 25, 2021.
