The shooting for Telugu remake of ‘Pink’ has begun in Hyderabad. Pink is originally a Bollywood thriller movie, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a lawyer. The film has performed very well in both Hindi and Tamil movie industries. Now, with actor cum politician Pawan Kalyan cast in the same role as Amitabh Bachchan, the film has generated an immense amount of hype. Allegedly there were reports that actress Nivetha Thomas will feature as the female lead in the movie, in the Taapsee Pannu’s role of the Bollywood version. Anjali and Ananya Nagalla would also be appearing in significant roles in the film.
This remake is set to be tentatively titled as PSPK 26. The main gossip about the film is that Pawan Kalyan would be making a come back in films with this one. He had created his own party in 2014 called Jana Sena Party. He is returning to the silver screen post a long break. In order to make sure that the film doesn’t portray as a distraction from his political career, the actor has fought against reports and government policies regarding the making of this film.
Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor are jontly producing the film, under the banner Bayview Projects LLP in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations. It is also reported that Trivikram Srinivas will be penning down the dialogues for the Telugu version.
Despite a lot of restrictions, a couple of photos from the sets of this film have made their way to social media platforms. In these pictures, Pawan Kalyan appears in an entirely black outfit, along with a thick big beard. He is set to be playing the lawyer in this courtroom drama.
