An official stated that police have filed a charge against director Kamal Kishor Mishra for allegedly driving his automobile into his wife after she observed him with another woman in the vehicle in Mumbai. According to an official, the filmmaker's wife was hurt in the October 19 incident in the parking lot of a residential complex in suburban Andheri.
Mishra is the director and producer of the Hindi film 'Dehati Disco.'
According to an Amboli police officer, the filmmaker's wife filed a police complaint against him when she went out seeking her husband and discovered him with another lady in his car in the parking lot.
When she went to confront him, he drove away from the scene and hit her, injuring her knees, hand, and head, according to the official, who cited the complaint. According to him, an FIR has been launched against Mishra at the Amboli police station based on the complaint under relevant Indian Penal Code provisions such as 279 (rash driving) and 337 (causing harm by act endangering the life or personal safety of others). Further inquiry is being conducted, according to the official.
