Ponniyin Selvan was one of the biggest hits of all time in Tamil cinema. The first part of the franchise, which Mani Ratnam described as his dream project, hit theatres on September 30, 2022. Since then, the wait for the second part has started among movie lovers. The film will hit theatres worldwide on April 28. Adding to the pre-release hype, a major update about the film is now out.
That is, the film will be released in 4DX as well. 4DX is a technology that offers the next level of theatre experience above 3D. 4DX theatres offer moving seats and live experiences of wind, snow, scents, etc., depending on what is seen on the screen. Ponniyin Selvan 2 also has the distinction of being the first South Indian film to be released in 4DX. Kerala currently has 4DX theatres in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Ponniyin Selvan 1 had an Imax release.
Prabhu, Babu Antony, Riyaz Khan, Lal, Ashwin Kakumanu, Riyaz Khan, Shobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayachitra, and many other famous stars of Indian cinema are lined up together in the frame of Mani Ratnam through Ponniyin Selvan. The second part of the film, jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Ravi Varman is the cinematographer of the film, which has music composed by AR Rahman. Editing by Sreekar Prasad, production designer Thota Tarani, and costume design by Eka Lakhani.
