Ponniyin Selvan : Makers Releases A Video On Jayam Ravi’s Character

Ponniyin Selvan is an ambitious project by Mani Ratnam. The movie is based on an epic novel of the same name by the famous writer Kalki Krishnamurthy. Ponniyin Selvan is being made in two parts. It is also Mani Ratnam's film, which is going to be released 4 years after the release of 'Chekka Chivantha Vanam'. The movie is currently in post-production and in this situation, the makers have released a new video in which the historians speak about Jayam Ravi’s character of Arun Mozhi Varman or widely known as Raja Raja Chozhan.

In the film, actor Jayam Ravi portrays Arun Mozhi Varman, and this new clip provides us a sneak peek at the legendary character he plays. The movie makers recently revealed the teaser, the first explanatory video, and the making-of video for the dubbing of the film. All these promos have increased the anticipation of the film. Ponniyin Selvan is also one of the biggest budgeted films in India with a total budget of 500 crores. The screenplay was written by Mani Ratnam and B. Jayamohan. The film Ponniyin Selvan will feature a star cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Thrisha, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Ashwin Kakumanu. Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, along with Subashkaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, produce the film. A R Rahman composes Ponniyin Selvan’s score and soundtrack. The cinematography of the film is done by Ravi Varman and the cuts are by Sreekar Prasad. The film will be released worldwide in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
