Now a theatre in Coimbatore has planned a special performance of "Ponniyin Selvan 1" for schoolchildren. The movie "Ponniyin Selvan" recounts the history of the Cholas. It is based on a novel by Kalki Krishnamoorthy. To introduce the historical tale to the younger generation, a theatre in Coimbatore organized a unique performance of "Ponniyin Selvan 1" for students in specific classes.

The theatre management posted a video of schoolchildren watching "Ponniyin Selvan 1" on large screens. The theatre owners are receiving praise from internet users for doing this admirable move. The film "Ponniyin Selvan 2," also known as "PS 2," will begin its extensive post-production work in November. It is expected to be released in the first half of 2023.
