Pooja Hegde opens up on Indians' beauty obsession

Generally, we Indians are quite obsessed with beauty and often judge people on their fairness levels. This also raised the advertising of beauty creams, which is not on this level in any country. Thus, many people who are dark-skinned often feel inferior in India. Actress Pooja Hegde says that once we start accepting the way we are, the world will start admiring us.

The DJ actress said that she saw people in the foreign countries admiring her skin tone when she walked across them. Pooja says that traveling across the world helped her to understand people and herself in a better way. She also stated that even healthy women abroad wear a bikini, whereas we here think that it is only limited to the ladies with a toned body.
They are not concerned about their physical appearance and behave the way they are. That makes it a more comfortable space to live in, says the actress. Pooja was last seen in the film Housefull 4. Her next release is Ala Vaikunthapurramloo starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. She is also acting alongside Prabhas in an untitled film under the direction of Radhakrishna and Akhil in another film which is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar.
