Popular Korean film Ode To My Father to get screened in Telangana Bengali Film Festival

The Bengali Association of Hyderabad, called Hyderabad Bangalee Samiti is hosting a film festival called Telangana Bengali Film Festival Aayna 2019. The festival kickstarted today and will continue for two more days. This three-day film festival is being held at Prasad Labs in Banjara Hills. A total of eight films, from two categories, popular and retrospective, will get screened in the course of the festival.

 
The organizers have decided to screen the popular South Korean film, Ode To My Father in this edition of the festival. The screening will start at 6 pm today. Directed by Yoo Je Kyoon, Ode To My Father depicts the life of an ordained man through the years. What makes it special is that the old man's life gets depicted through the history of Korea. Many national historical moments of South Korea will be revisited through the perspective of the protagonist. The film was a big success in Korea and also got wide critical acclaim across the world.
 
Bollywood star hero Salman Khan remade this film in Hindi as Bharat. This Ali Abbas Zafar directorial hit the screens earlier this year and failed to become a successful venture. Ode To My Father is one of the festival favorites and many audiences are expected to watch it.
