National Award-winning lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja got hospitalized. He got admitted to the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Gachibowli for a liver-related ailment. We hear that he is undergoing liver transplant surgery. The sources claim that Ashok Teja is doing fine and there is nothing to worry about.

Suddala Ashok Teja made his debut into films in the mid-1990s. He got into the industry, with the help of his nephew Uttej. He shot to fame by writing films like Ninne Pelladutha and Osey Ramulamma. He has written 2200 film songs and 2500 private songs in his career. Ashok Teja won National Award for his song Nenu Saitham from the film Tagore. He is the third Telugu lyricist to win the National Award, after Sri Sri and Veturi Sundararamurthy. He has recently penned lyrics for the song Kalavathi Kalavathi in the film Palasa 1978. His next project is RRR in which he is penning three songs.
