The topic of nepotism in Bollywood isn't very recent. It started off with Kangana Ranaut and got a serious take after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Soon after that, many actors have come out openly about facing nepotism in their career. The recent one being Prachi Desai, who made her mark in films after getting her share of popularity in television shows. Prachi stole the show with films such as Azhar and Rock On, but soon after that, she took a break from work.
Now that the actress has decided to explore digital space with her movie Silence...Can You Hear it?, she spoke about facing nepotism to a leading website. When asked if nepotism has affected her career, Prachi said, "See, that's a reality that is best accepted; there is no point denying it. It has been there, it is there, and it's probably going to be there. But today, I'm loving the fact that the audience is deciding a lot. So, as long as the audience supports, there will be space for everyone. And that's very, very, very important. To be honest, the kind of stuff that I'm getting offered now, and which wasn't coming my way a year or two years ago, is because of the audience. They are the people who have changed everything. As long as the people really like and support us, we will have a place for all outsiders like me."
Silence..Can You Hear It also stars Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role and the film is streaming on Zee5. Stay tuned with us for more latest updates on Bollywood.
