Sunanda Pushkar, the late businesswoman, and Shashi Tharoor's wife will be the subject of a film produced by Venus Films and Prakash Jha. The film is based on Sunanda Mehta's best-selling book, Extraordinary Life and Death of Sunanda Pushkar.
Ganesh Jain, Ratan Jain, and Praveen Nischol produced the film. Producer Ratan Jain confirmed the news, saying, "Venus and Prakash Jha have collaborated on the film 'Extraordinary Life and Death of Sunanda Pushkar,' which is based on the best-selling book by her namesake, Sunanda Mehta. The top actors are negotiating for the lead roles."
Sunanda Pushkar was discovered dead in her hotel suite in Delhi in January 2014. Sunanda Mehta's book, which details her life and death, was published in 2019.
