Roshan Mathew talks about his decision to play the role of Ibrahim in Kuruthi. Roshan Mathew said that he felt like doing it when he heard the story of the film but was afraid that would he be able to reflect the character by acting.
Roshan Mathew said in an interview with the Entertainment Times that he was worried about being able to catch up with the other actors in the film.

As an actor, anyone would be a little scared while seeing the cast of Kuruthi. I wanted not to be the worst person in the group.
Everything else was okay with me. So I said I would call after thinking about it. A day later I called Prithviraj. I told him I'm scared, but I still want to do this movie;” said Roshan Mathew.
