The director Venu’s new film titled Kaappa was announced. The film will have Prithviraj and Manju Varrier in leading roles. Asif Ali and Anna Ben will also play major characters in the new film. Through the film, Prithviraj and Manju Warrier come together for the first time as full-length characters.
Kaappa was initially scheduled to shoot in June. The shooting got delayed due to the second wave of Covid19.
The movie has the script based on writer G R Indugopan’s story Sankhumukhi. G R Indugopen writes the script for the film as well. In his new interview, Venu said that the film will be a commercial gangster movie based in Thiruvananthapuram. Sanu John Varghese will handle the camera for the film.
GR Indugopan's story 'Amminippilla Vettu Case' will be made into a film titled 'Thekkan Thall Case'. N Sreejith will be directing the film. Biju Menon, Padmapriya, Nimisha Sajayan, and Roshan Mathew are the central characters.
This would be Venu’s fifth directorial, after the film Rachiyamma with Parvati as the central character in the anthology film Aanum Pennum. The film is based on the short story of the famous writer Uroob. Along with Parvathy, Asif Ali also played an important role in the film. Director Venu’s other films include Daya Enna Penkutty, Munnariyippu, and Carbon.
