Prithviraj's 'Bhramam' reached the audience through Amazon Prime last day. 'Bhramam' is a remake of the super hit Bollywood movie ‘Andhadun’. Prithviraj plays the role of Ray Mathews, who plays a blind man in the film.
Prithviraj said that the character was challenging for him. “For me, it was very important to base my interpretation on the Malayalam text rather than drawing from someone else's interpretation of the character and that is what I have done. I hope people find it good and think it is entertaining. I remember watching Andhadun long back and thinking how it will work here in Malayalam because the core was a straight plant in Malayali and made much resonance.”
In an interview, Prithviraj said that if the filming of 'Bhramam' had taken place in the nineties, there would have been no other option but to cast Mohanlal in his role. Acting blind is a challenge. However, the actor said that acting like a blind person is an even bigger challenge.
Following the release of ‘Bramam’, there were mixed reviews from the audience. The renowned cinematographer Ravi K Chandran directed the film. The film also stars Mamta Mohandas, Unni Mukundan, Rashi Khanna, Shankar, and Jagatheesh in the lead roles.
Andhadun is directed by Sriram Raghavan. Ayushman Khurana was the central character in the film. Tabu and Radhika Apte also played the lead roles.
