Prithviraj-Shaji Kailas collaboration 'Kappa' is now in OTT. The OTT release announcement comes three weeks after the release of the film, which has been garnering good response in theatres. The film hit theaters on December 22, 2022 and will start streaming on Netflix from January 19.
Prithviraj has come in a different look in 'Kappa' which told the story of local goons in Thiruvananthapuram. The actor played the role of Kota Madhu. Asif Ali also played an important role in the film, which starred Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. Dileesh Pothan, Anna Ben, Jagadish, Nandu, Biju Pappan and others also acted in the film. The film is based on GR Indugopan's famous novel Shankhumukhi. Indu Gopan himself has written the screenplay of the movie.
Cinematography by Prithvirajjomon T John and Editing by Shameer Mohammad. Justin Varghese has composed the music for the film. The production of the film has been carried out in collaboration with Theater of Dreams, Sarigama India Pvt Ltd and FEFCA Writers' Union, which was started in partnership with screenwriter Jinu V Abraham, Dolvin Kuriakos and Dileesh Nair.
It's reported that Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will team up with actor-director Basil Joseph for the upcoming movie, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. The movie is being directed by Vipin Das, fresh out of the success of the blockbuster Malayalam movie, 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey', where Basil Joseph plays the male lead.
