Priya Anand joins Prashanth's Andhagan

Priya Anand has been roped in to step into Radhika Apte's shoes in her upcoming film Andhagan.

The Tamil remake of the Bollywood super hit film Andhadhun is currently underway. Even though the remake rights of Andhadhun was secured long ago, it took at least a year and multiple changes in cast and crew to get it rolling. The Tamil version of Andhadhun is titled Andhagan. While Prashanth will essay Ayushmann Khurrana's role, his dad Thiagarajan, who is also the producer, will direct the film. Recently, JJ Fredrick, who made his debut with Ponmagal Vandhal decided to walk out of the film due to reasons best known to him. In a statement, Fredrick wrote, "This is to inform you all that, I’m not directing the film #Andhagan & Goodluck to the Team. Thank you all for the support and love & Will keep you posted about my next project very soon(sic)."

Now, the latest update is that Priya Anand has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. She will be seen playing Radhika Apte's role in the Tamil version. Sharing a photo with actor Prashanth, Priya Anand wrote, "Super Excited For #Andhagan. I Can't Wait To Start Promotions & Spill The Tea On @actorprashanth (sic)."
