In one of her recent interviews, Priyanka Chopra got talking about the controversy that laid out after a Pakistani woman accused her of promoting war. The said incident took place back in Los Angeles when her tweet regarding the Indian army created a stir. After, which she got accused of promoting nuclear war.
Not wanting to talk a lot about it, as she did not feel right now was the right time. She did say how it is not an opportune moment to talk about it and added how it was unfortunate to have happened in the first place. Having said that, however, she did go on to add, "I never have, never was, and never will be pro-war and that is in my statements itself. My work for all of these years is a testament to that, and I don’t feel I need to keep regurgitating it.”
She said how she cannot change certain things. But, she can influence and that is what she has always "hoped to be able to do in terms of philanthropy, and creativity in the arts, and to be able to, if I have opinions as a citizen, be able to speak about my opinions, and be able to give people perspective that they might not have seen because of my travels.”
