Priyanka Chopra, the Bollywood actress, is returning to India after a three-year absence. The pandemic and shutdown prevented the actress from leaving the country and returning home. She and her husband Nick Jonas have resided in their Los Angeles home for the past few years. They had a baby girl named Malti Marie Chopra earlier this year through surrogacy, and she had to wait a few months to return to India as a result. She is all set return to Mumbai this week after spending Diwali last week in Los Angeles. She will be visiting the city for the first time with her child at this time.
Priyanka shared a picture of her boarding pass with the caption, “Finally…going home. After almost 3 years.”
Priyanka Chopra was supposed to visit India in April. The actress stated, “My brain has been taking vacations every night, but I am dying to go back to India. Every state in India has its own written and spoken language, which means different alphabets, clothing, attire, foods, and holidays. So it's like going to a new country every time you cross the border in India. Every time I go back home, I make sure I take time to do a bit of a holiday and travel”, in an interview with Travel+Leisure magazine.
Priyanka Chopra's upcoming projects include It's All Coming Back To Me with Celine Dion and Ending Things with Anthony Mackie. Alongside Richard Madden, she will appear in the Russo Brothers' Prime Video series Citadel. She also has Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif's Jee Le Zaraa by Farhan Akhtar. Her planned projects are all scheduled for release in 2023. Her most recent appearance was in the Netflix film The White Tiger, which also starred Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav.
