Muralidharan, a popular Tamil producer, passed away on Thursday (Dec 1) of a heart attack. Kamal Haasan, who worked on 'Anbe Sivam,' has expressed his sorrow over Muralidharan's untimely death. Kamal Haasan reflected on his time on 'Anbe Sivam' experiences and expressed his condolences to Muralidharan's family.
Muralidharan had a cardiac arrest while visiting a temple in Kumbakonam. He was taken to a nearby private hospital. However, the 65-year-old producer did not respond to the treatment and died around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday (Dec 1). Muralidharan's untimely death has devastated Kollywood celebrities and fans.
Some of the many popular Tamil films produced by the late producer are 'Bhagavathy,' 'Anbe Sivam,' 'Pudhupettai,' and 'Silambattam.' His most recent film was 'Sakalakala Vallavan,' which starred Jayam Ravi in the lead role.
Muralidharan praised Kamal Haasan and spoke about working with him in an interview a few weeks ago. Muralidharan admitted that Kamal Haasan's 'Anbe Sivam' was a box office flop. He also revealed that Kamal Haasan assisted the production house economically. He revealed that Kamal Haasan only accepted half of the remuneration he was due. He asked the producer to repay the remainder only if the film was a success. However, the film did not perform well at the box office, and Kamal Haasan did not request the remaining funds.
