Producers of Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu remake mourns the death of the original version's director Sachy

Popular Malayalam filmmaker Sachy aka Sachidanandan passed away last night. Sachy got admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur, after sustaining a cardiac arrest. He was in the intensive care unit for two days. He breathed his last Thursday night. The whole Malayalam industry got shattered with this news. Sachy recently made directed Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. It is now getting remade into Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Surya Devara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments has bought the Telugu remake rights of this movie. Sithara Entertainments took on Twitter to mourn the death of this talented filmmaker. The makers stated that they will try their best to make Sachy proud, with the Telugu version.

Sithara Entertainments tweeted, "Sachy is an extremely talented storyteller. We are among many people who loved his work in films like #AyyapanumKoshiyum & #DrivingLicense. A master craftsman has gone too soon. We will try our best to make him proud with our Telugu version of AK. #RIPSachy." According to the sources, Rana Daggubati and Ravi Teja will play the lead roles in the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The original version featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon as protagonists. Meanwhile, Bollywood actor John Abraham also paid his last respects to Sachy. He tweeted, "Shattered to lose such a talent. Rest In Peace my friend. #RIP #Sachy." John bought the Hindi remake rights of the film. He will be playing one of the leads in it.
