Today is World Earth Day! Actor Puneeth Rajkumar took to twitter to wishes everyone for the occasion. He also posted a painting of his father, Dr. Rajkumar by Dr. B.K.S. Varma.
He posted the painting and wrote, " Today is #WorldEarthDaY. If we take care of our home (earth), it will take care of us. #StayHomeStaySafe. Painting by Dr. B.K.S. Varma." The painting depicts Dr. Rajkumar as a live-bearing tree. The people of Karnataka are looking up to him with devotion.
He had recently paid his respects to the creator of the cartoon Tom and Jerry with a heartfelt post on Twitter. He wrote, "Grew up watching Tom & Jerry, Popeye, My all-time favorite cartoons! Even now I enjoy watching them sometimes. Lots of childhood memories! RIP Gene Deitch."
On the work front, Puneeth is awaiting the release of his film Yuvarathnaa. Santhosh Ananddram has directed the film. Yuvarathnaa is being bankrolled by Hombale Films. In addition to Puneeth Rajkumar, the film also stars Sayyeshaa, Dhananjay, and Radhika Sarath Kumar. The much-awaited film was to hit the theatres in April. But the release date stands postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
He is also bankrolling Likith Shetty's upcoming film titled Family Pack. Puneeth Rajkumar's PRK Productions will bankroll the film. The actor has previously produced successful films like Kavuladaai and Mayabazar 2016.
