The outbreak of coronavirus in India made the government take certain measures. One among them is to shut down the theatres and halt all the shootings. With this decision, the entire film industry has come to a halt. One of the popular Telugu production houses, PC Connects has also suspended all its activities as of now. The works will resume once the situation gets better. Heads of PC Connects, Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur informed the same through an official press note.
The press note stated, "After monitoring the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation around the world, all the administrative and production work at PuriConnects will be temporarily suspended. Out of abundance caution and as part of our continued commitment to the safety of our cast, crew, staff & everybody this decision has been made. We suggest everybody follow the precautionary measures issued by government & health officials. Stay strong & healthy. WINNING THIS BATTLE IS IN OUR COLLECTIVE EFFORT. - Puri Jagannadh & Charmme Kaur."
PC Connects is currently producing two films. One is Romantic which is being directed by debutant Anil Paduri. Aakash Puri and Ketika Sharma are playing the lead roles in this film. It will hit the screens in May this year.
Another film which is being produced by this banner is an untitled project, directed by Puri Jagannath. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday are playing the lead roles in this film. It will be a pan-Indian film which will get released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The makers are planning to release it towards the end of this year or early next year.
