Director Puri Jagannadh, who is back in the reckoning with iSmart Shankar, has initiated talks with Kannada actor and KGF-fame Yash for Jana Gana Mana. According to a source, Puri met Yash on two occasions at a popular hotel in Bengaluru and pitched the storyline. Impressed with the idea the director has shared, Yash has asked him to arrive with a bound script and the duo would be meeting for one last narration soon. Initially, Puri wanted to make Jana Gana Mana with actor Mahesh Babu, but the project never materialized due to 'creative differences.' Now that Yash is willing to play the lead, it is interesting to see what Puri has in store for him. The story of Jana Gana Mana revolves around contemporary issues including the Kathua rape case that has rocked the nation for the last few years. To be made in Telugu and Kannada, Jana Gana Mana will go on floors early next year and will also be dubbed in several Indian languages.
