‘Pushpa: The Rise’ Leads The Pack In Telugu At The SIIMA Awards Nominations

'Pushpa: The Rise,' directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, heads the list of nominees in the Telugu segment of the 10th South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), and will be hosted in Bengaluru on September 10-11.

The explosive movie 'Pushpa: The Rise,' directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, headed the list of nominees in the Telugu segment of the 10th South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), and will be hosted in Bengaluru on September 10-11. While 'Pushpa' is nominated in 12 categories, Boyapati Srinu's 'Akhanda,' starring Balakrishna, is nominated in 10. With eight nominations apiece, Anudeep KV's 'Jathi Ratnalu' and Buchi Babu Sana's 'Uppena' are close behind.

 
In Tamil, director Mari Selvaraj's highly praised hit 'Karnan,' starring Dhanush, tops the pack with ten nominations. The action-comedy movie 'Doctor,' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Sivakarthikeyan, received nine nominations, while Lokesh Kanakaraj's 'Master' and filmmaker AL Vijay's 'Thalaivi,' the biography of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, received seven nominations apiece.
 
Basil Joseph's superhero film 'Minnal Murali,' starring Tovino Thomas, received the most nominations in the Malayalam category. It has been nominated in ten categories, while 'Kurup,' starring Dulquer Salmaan, has been nominated in eight. Both 'Malik' and 'Joji' by Fahadh Faasil got six nominations.
 
With ten nominations, 'Robert' headed the pack in Kannada. With eight nominations, 'Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana and actor Puneeth Rajkumar's 'Yuvarathnaa top the SIIMA Nominations for 2021 in Kannada.
