Popular choreographer-actor-director Raghava Lawrence is making his Bollywood debut as a director with the film Laxmmi Bomb. It is an official remake of Lawrence's 2011 horror comedy film Kanchana. Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role in the film while Kiara Advani is playing the female lead in it. The shoot of this film is currently underway in Mumbai. The makers are busy shooting a song sequence with Akshay Kumar.
Praising the hard work and dedication of Akshay on the sets, Lawrence posted a photo with him and tweeted, "From Lakshmi bomb song shoot, I’m happy and proud to be working with the most hardworking, time punctual and down to earth Akshay Kumar sir and beyond all that a good human being."
Kanchana was a super success in both Tamil and Telugu. After that, Lawrence made two more films under the same franchise, which also became hits at the box office. He is looking forward to repeat the same success in Hindi as well. Laxmmi Bomb features Tusshar Kapoor, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Arora and Sharad Kelkar in the other important roles. It will release worldwide on 22nd May this year, on the occasion of Eid. Incidentally, Salman Khan's Radhe is also releasing on the same day.
