SS Rajamouli's RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan made over Rs 1200 crore at the box office. The film released in Japan recently and won rave reviews. It is still running successfully in Japan. Now, the team of RRR headed to US to take part in RRR screenings and attend Golden Globes 2023. Much to everyone's surprise, Naatu Naatu from RRR won the Golden Globes 2023. Rahul Sipligunj sung the song with Kaala Bhairava. The song is composed by MM Keeravaani.
Speaking to India Today after RRR's Global win, Rahul said, "My journey with MM Keeravani sir dates back a decade and it has been a blessing. Sir believed in me and he made me sing in all four languages. It was an amazing opportunity for me. I want to thank the whole of India as they made the song a huge hit. I am feeling so happy. Singing for RRR was a very big challenge for me. I just had one thought that I had to prove it. I did a lot of hard work for that."
Regarding the Oscars, he said, "I don't know about the Oscars. I wish (for the win) and it would be every singer's dream that Naatu Naatu receives an Oscar award. The rest is up to God."
He then thanked the team of RRR and said, "I am very emotional right now. There's a lot of happiness. I want to thank SS Rajamouli sir and MM Keeravani sir and the team of RRR. I am so happy that I am not able to express anything right now."
