Rain On Me: Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's new peppy song will instantly get your spirits high in this lockdown

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande have been like angels who've come to take your lockdown woes away. The two singing divas have released their latest track called 'Rain On Me' which is nothing short of a perfect dancing track for this summer. While releasing the song, Gaga tweeted, "Thank you for reminding me I’m strong, I’m super emotional and love you so very much, I cherish you @ArianaGrande and little monsters without you I don’t know how I would survive. I’d rather be dry, but at least I’m alive."

Talking to a Hollywood portal about the healing and serenity effects of the sing, she said, "It was this beautiful," Gaga told Zane Lowe of Apple Beats 1, "very healing process for me, too. Not necessarily having a female artist that mentored me as I came up, and being able to be with her and hold her and be like, 'Anything that you feel chains you, any pop cultural construct that you feel you have to live up to, I'd like you to please forget about it and be yourself."

She further added the inspiration behind the song. "This is about an analog of tears being the rain. And you know what it's also a metaphor for, is the amount of drinking that I was doing to numb myself. I'd rather be dry. I'd rather not be drinking, but I haven't died yet. I'm still alive. Rain on me. Okay, I'm going to keep on drinking. This song has many layers," she shared, she said.
