It looks like Ayushmann Khurrana is enough stuff to remake his films into Telugu. Already, his movie Vicky Donor got remade as Naruda Donoruda by Sumanth. Now, Nithiin is remaking Andhadhun. The latest reports state that Raj Tarun will be remaking Ayushmann's other film, Dream Girl. Apparently, Rana Daggubati will bankroll this project.
According to the Tollywood sources, Suresh Productions has acquired the Telugu remake rights of Dream Girl. Now, their team is making changes in its script to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audiences. It seems that the makers felt that Raj Tarun will be the apt choice to reprise Ayushmann's role from the original. Currently, the talks are going on and an official announcement will be out once Raj Tarun signs the dotted lines.
Dream Girl deals with the story of a young man who secures the job at a call center due to his skills of speaking in a woman's voice. How his job turned his life forms the main crux of the story. The original film featured Ayushmann sporting lady getups as well. Nushrat Barucha played the female lead role in it. We have to see who will get signed up for her role in the Telugu version.
Meanwhile, Raj Tarun is currently awaiting the release of his next film Orey Bujjiga. This film was originally slated for the release on March 25. But now, it got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new release date will be out once the situation comes back to a normal state.
