Superstar Rajinikanth recently headed to the US along with his wife Latha Rajinikanth. The reason behind the trip during the Covid-19 pandemic is to get his health checked by his doctors in the US. Back in 2016, Rajinikanth underwent kidney transplant surgery in the US. Since then, Rajinikanth has been making trips to the US every once in a while for a general health check-up. On June 19, Rajinikanth and his wife Latha took a flight to Dubai and then went to the US from there. After spending a couple of days in quarantine, Rajinikanth and his family members have finally stepped out of their hotel rooms.
Recently, Rajinikanth was spotted outside Mayo Clinic, where he underwent kidney surgery. He was accompanied by his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush. Early this year, Dhanush, Aishwarya, and their kids headed to the US as the actor had to shoot for Netflix's The Gray Man. Once Rajinikanth and Latha reached the US, they had a mini-reunion with Dhanush, Aishwarya, and the grandkids. When Rajinikanth's doctors give a go-ahead, he will return home along with Dhanush and his family. Rajinikanth will resume the shooting of Annaatthe in July. Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe will release in theatres on November 4.
