Rajinikanth Completes Dubbing for The Re-release Of Baba

Baba, starring Rajinikanth released on August 15, 2002. It is getting a re-release twenty years later. Suresh Krissna, who directed the Superstar in three superhits, Annamalai, Veera, and the enduring Baashha, directed the movie. The latest update on the re-release is that Rajinikanth has completed the dubbing for the movie.

In this movie, Manisha Koirala played the female lead. The supporting cast also include Goundamani, Sujatha, MN Nambiar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Sangavi, and Karunaas. The music for this movie was composed by AR Rahman. It centres around Rajinikanth's carefree atheist character receiving seven wishes from Mahaavatar Babaji. He is also one of Rajini's spiritual mentors in real life. The film shows how this influences him to enter politics.

The movie had sky-high anticipation before its release. It is now regarded as one of the few Rajini films that performed poorly at the box office. In order to make up for their loss, the Superstar actually refunded the money received from distributors. Smoking scenes in the movie also sparked controversy, which resulted in fights between Rajini fans and Pattali Makkal Katchi workers.
