Superstar Rajinikanth is currently appearing in Nelson Dilipkumar's film Jailer. There were rumors that Rajinikanth had signed a deal with Lyca Productions. They have already funded his 2.0. Now that this information has been formally released by the production company through a spokesman. Reportedly, the big puja for one of the films would take place on November 5 in Chennai.
One of Rajinikanth's two projects with the Lyca producers will apparently be directed by "Don" filmmaker Cibi Chakravarthy. The second film's director is yet unknown. It is also rumored that Rajinikanth will make a special cameo in a movie that his daughter Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth is directing. Regarding the second movie made by the production company, rumors abound regarding the director. Younger directors Lokesh Kanagaraj, Design Periyasamy (of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal fame), and Jai Bhim creator TJ Gnanavel are also mentioned. Veteran director Mani Ratnam is also a part of the rumors.
Rajinikanth is now shooting for the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed movie "Jailer". It is being shot on a set that has been constructed in ECR, Chennai. The title of the movie implies that Rajinikanth will play a prison guard. The actor will deliver a wonderful blend of humor, action, and emotion. Anirudh Ravichander composes the music for the film.
