Rajinikanth to shoot for Annaatthe from March 15

Superstar Rajinikanth had a minor health scare last December after the shooting of Annaatthe was halted. The film's crew resumed the shooting after almost nine months in December 2020 with necessary precautions. However, nearly eight members of the crew tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Following which Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital due to fluctuating BP even though he tested negative for Covid-19. The doctors who treated him asked him to take a rest. The actor even announced that he will not be floating a political party because of his health issues. After resting at home for more than three months, Rajinikanth is all set to get back to work.

According to reports, Rajinikanth will resume the shooting of his upcoming film Annaatthe next Monday (March 15) in Chennai. Sources close to the team reveal that the team has deployed extreme security so that they can avoid any mishap like last time. Huge sets have been erected at the EVP Film City in Chennai. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the film features Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, Sathish, Soori and George Maryan in significant roles.
