Rajinikanth's Jailer Crew Considers Releasing The Film For Tamil New Year In April 2023

Even if Rajinikanth isn't exactly having the finest run at the box office, he still receives unbelievable amounts of support from his followers. Even if his movies haven't been as compelling lately, they still have strong opening weekends at the box office. Next up for the superstar will be director Nelson's Jailer. Sun Pictures is the film's producer, and production is currently in full force. It is found that Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures intend to market Jailer as the ideal Tamil New Year outing for families around the region.

Jailer will be Kollywood's major Tamil New Year release if the shoot goes according to the current schedule. The plan is for it to come out on April 14, 2023, and the production team is sure that Rajinikanth and Nelson will provide family-friendly entertainment. The jailer has all the necessary components to honour Rajinikanth on the big screen while adhering to the comedy and thrill-filled narrative structure of a normal Nelson Dilipkumar movie, says a source familiar with the project. The day of the release will also be Sun Pictures' anniversary.

This is Rajinikanth and Nelson's first joint project. It’s his fourth directorial after Kolamaavu Kokila, Doctor, and the newly released, Beast. The film Jailer, Rajinikanth's 169th, began production in August. Additionally, it has significant roles for Ramya Krishnan, Shiva Rajkumar, and Yogi Babu. Siva Karthikeyan also makes a brief appearance. Anirudh, the current hitmaker, has created the soundtrack. The Jailer filming is anticipated to be finished by the beginning of 2023.

Rajini is in negotiations with many production companies, including LYCA and Kalaipuli S Thanu, and will decide on his quick follow-up after the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film is finished.
