Rajinikanth's next film with Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj will begin in August this year

From the past few days, it is being reported that director Lokesh Kanagaraj is planning to make a film with Superstar Rajinikanth. It will get bankrolled by another star hero Kamal Haasan under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The latest we hear is that the shoot of this film will begin in the first week of August.
According to the sources, Kamal has earlier planned to announce this project in the first week of April. But he postponed the plan due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Now, the film will officially get announced once the situation gets back to a normal state. There are reports stating that Kamal might act in a cameo in this film. If that is true, this film marks the on-screen reunion of Rajini and Kamal after the 1985 film Geraftaar.
Currently, Rajinikanth is shooting for Annaatthe which is being directed by Siruthai Siva. Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Kushboo and Prakash Raj are playing the other important roles in this film. Produced by Sun Pictures, this film might hit the screens by the end of this year or early next year.
On the flip side, Kamal Haasan is acting in Indian 2, which is being directed by Shankar. This is the remake of the 1996 film of the same name.
Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj scored a blockbuster last year with Karthi's Khaidi. He is now awaiting the release of his next film Master. Starring Vijay in the lead role, this film was actually supposed to release on April 9. It got postponed due to the ongoing lockdown.
