Actress Kasthuri Shankar stirred up a hornet's nest when she posted a series of tweets about Rajinikanth's recent visit to the US for a general health check-up. She raised suspicions about how he could get special permission to visit the US when the foreign country has banned tourists from India. Also, she questioned that if Rajinikanth's illness could not be treated by Indian doctors. She went a step ahead and said that the Mayo Clinic, where Rajinikanth is consulting doctors, is a heart care hospital and asked where the actor has heart issues.
Later, she posted a tweet saying someone called her to explain the above-mentioned questions. However, yesterday (June 30), Rajinikanth's publicist Riaz Ahmed cleared the air saying that neither Rajinikanth nor his family members called Kasthuri to explain how they visited the US. Kasthuri replied to the tweet saying it was composer Gangai Amaren who called her and explained. She also added that she didn't want to cross-check what Gangai Amaren told her. After seeing Riaz's tweet, Rajinikanth's fans took to the comment section and called out Kasthuri's lies. Rajinikanth and his family members are expected to return to Chennai in a couple of days.
