Rajkumar Rao in a recent interview got vulnerable and revealed how he managed to get through the instances when he lost the people who were close to him. Rajkumar Rao was talking about the death of his parents his mother Kamlesh Yadav in 2016 and his father Satyapal Yadav in 2019, he also talked about the day he received news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
Rajkumar remembers the time he received the news of his mother’s death. He was shooting for the movie Newton and had just shot a scene when he saw a boy run towards him with a phone from his then-girlfriend Patralekhaa, who informed him of his mother's death. Rajkumar remembers the flight back to attend his mother's funeral he also remembered how he had to get back to the set the very next day and how he couldn’t handle his emotions during that time. Rajkumar believed that his mother would have wanted him to continue with the movie and was proud of his dedication to his art.
Rajkumar also talked about the day he got the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He remembers getting the call from a journalist and being shocked as he had developed a close relationship with the actor by that time.
