Rakshit Shetty took to social media to announce that he will present Raj B Shetty's upcoming film Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana. The film is directed by Raj B Shetty. Recently, he watched the film and was blown over by the performances of Rishab Shetty, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, and others.
In a statement, Rakshit Shetty said, "Normally, we are completely involved in a film for the duration it plays. But how often does it happen that the story lingers in your days after watching it? That’s what happened to me after viewing Garuda Gamana. I related so closely to them. So then I was left wondering if I liked the film so much because it was based in such a familiar setting. Then I realized it wasn’t it. It’s the storytelling and performances: Raj B Shetty, Rishab Shetty, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, and others. We watch Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films and are appreciative of them. But the crux of the matter is that we have the finest blend of all these languages in our cinema. We make such wonderful content when it comes to new-age films and they should be encouraged. And nobody knows it more closely than me. When I made Ulidavaru Kandante, I knew what I had on hand. But people watched it more on pirated sites than the theatre. It has gone on to fetch a lot of appreciation but had I got a similar platform to exhibit my flick, it’d have taken a whole new turn. Nonetheless, I’m happy where I am but I’d take up every opportunity to support new-age movies and ensure the world knows the kind of cinema we make. They must grow…that’s where the future of our films lies."
