The De De Pyar De actress was staying with her brother in Mumbai when the lockdown was announced and she couldn't go back to her family's house in Gurgaon. "This is the longest I have been here ever since I left nine years ago. It’s nice to be home without an agenda. I am being pampered like a child here, she told a leading tabloid.
As Rakul Preet Singh returned back on June 11th, she felt great reuniting with her family. Talking about the current situation she added, " Fear is a bigger pandemic than anything else”. “You need to take all precautions but you can’t be scared, sit at home and not do even the required work,” she said, saying that her favourite part of being at home is not having to wake up to alarm. “I start my day by working out with my parents. Then, we plan meals for the day and watch TV together. I may be at home, but I am not lenient with myself. I keep busy with reading or online courses that stimulate my mind."
Rakul's brother Aman Preet came to meet her in Mumbai when the lockdown was announced. "He had come on March 15 for just one day so I pushed him to stay back. The next day, all flights were cancelled and the first curfew was imposed a few days after that. It’s like the universe took care of the both of us. He has now returned to Hyderabad to resume work and I expect to join him soon. Things have opened up there more now, and some work has started. I will be there when it gets better. I have some South projects to complete, but I just hope they start before the Hindi ones, so that the dates don’t clash, " she signs off.
