Rakul Preet Starrer Chhatriwali Trailer Is Out

Chhatriwali, Rakul Preet Singh's first film of the year, is now gearing up to hit the screens, and its trailer has dropped. The actor appears in many films every year. She is currently starring in a film where she attempts to educate the younger generation about safe sex. Rakul plays a forthright girl who doesn't believe in mincing her words. She becomes a teacher to educate school-aged youngsters about safe sex and reproduction, as seen in the trailer.

In the trailer, Sumeet Vyas questions Rakul on why anyone would use protection during intercourse. She discovers a close relative enduring abortion due to unprotected sex. She also takes the example of school textbooks that include male and female reproduction as elective subjects. She challenges school officials to start teaching sex education as an elective subject. And she begins holding sessions to answer sex-related questions. She also gathers housewives and educates them on the need for protected sex. The slice-of-life movie, directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, is set in Haryana and stars Rakul as Sanya. Rakul was most recently seen in Doctor G, where she played a gynecologist. Talking about the film, Rakul said, “Chhatriwali was that dream project where it checked all the boxes. And now, with the trailer out, I hope our hard work pays off, as this film deserves special attention and credit. In today's patriarchal society, every household needs a Sanya. She is someone who holds the courage to single-handedly fight against all odds, traditions, social norms, and barriers." she added. "I hope this character inspires others to find their voice. May they speak up against unsafe sex and the many health implications of not using protection. India's youth make up the majority of the population. And educating them on safe sex and sex education is the need of the hour. So I am glad that Chhatriwali is catering to them and everyone else in a progressive and entertaining manner," Rakul said.
