Ram Gopal Varma implored the big names of the Telugu film industry to halt shootings upon the death of veteran actor Krishnam Raju as the industry owed it to him.
Director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his provocative tweets, has once again blasted Telugu cinema industry heavyweights in his newest tweet. According to reports, legendary Tollywood actor Krishnam Raju died on Sunday owing to health difficulties. Film celebrities and other actors paid respect to him at his home. His last rituals will be held in the Maha Prasthanam in Hyderabad on Monday.
Ram Gopal Varma stated in a series of tweets that the film business did not properly bid farewell to Krishnan Raju and that it is the most selfish film industry. He also asked that filming be halted for at least two days as a mark of respect for Krishnam Raju.
He took to Twitter to air his views, "My shouts to the most selfish Telugu film industry that can't stop shooting for a single day for a great actor and a great producer like Krishnam Raju who gave great films like 'Bhakta Kannappa', 'Katakatala Rudrayya', 'Bobbili Brahmana' and 'Tandra Paparayudu'.
