Popular actor Ramesh Aravind made his comeback into films after a gap of three years, with the recent movie Shivaji Surathkal. Directed by Akash Srivatsa, this film is a detective thriller which had hit the screens a couple of weeks back. The makers were initially skeptical whether the audience will accept it or not but the viewers made it a hit now. Overwhelmed with the success, director Akash said that he will make a sequel for the film in the future.
Talking to a leading media daily, Akash said that a detective thriller will have in-numerous possibilities to come up with different kinds of stories. As Shivaji Surathkal started off with case 101, there is a chance for the makers to either go back or go forward. They also have a chance of focussing on principle cast and weave another story around it. Akash confirmed that the sequel is definitely on cards and they are just waiting for the word go.
The film Shivaji Surathkal recently released in the theatres of Hyderabad as well. The film did not get the desired response in Hyderabad.
Akash also revealed that makers from Tamil and Hindi are approaching for remake rights. He opined that Ramesh Aravind should do it in Tamil as well as he is a well-known actor in Kollywood. With the good reception in Australia, the makers of Shivaji Surathkal are now planning to release it in the USA and Europe as well.
