Indian film industry teamed up with social media giant Facebook for a virtual concert called I for India. This is a home-home concert which got held to raise fund for the people who is getting affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Celebrities from various film industries of India have come together for this event. Actors Shruti Haasan and Rana Daggubati represented the Telugu and Tamil industries. Both the actors urged their fans to donate for the underprivileged people in these tough times.
Rana and Shruti lauded the way Indians are dealing with the Pandemic. They also thanked the efforts of doctors and the other frontline workers who are working day and night from the last two months. The actor said that poor people and daily wage workers are getting severely affected by this pandemic. Thus, they urged their followers and fans to come forward and donate for the cause.
Funds raised through I for India will get donated through the COVID-19 relief fund through giving India platform. Many celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, and many others have participated in this event.
Coming to their career front, Rana's new film Aranya is up for the release. It was actually supposed to hit the screens on the 2nd of April. But, the release got postponed due to the ongoing lockdown. On the flip side, Shruti Haasan will be next seen in the movie Krack. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, this film features Ravi Teja as the lead hero. It marks the comeback of Shruti into Tollywood after a gap of more than three years.
