The coronavirus pandemic has hit us very hard. The country is under the lockdown for more than a month now. Even now, it got extended to the 17th of May. People are being confined to their homes. The only persons who are working daily are the doctors, police officers, and municipal workers. Many NGOs and celebrities are coming forward to provide these warriors with basic necessities, masks, and gloves. Now, a few Tollywood celebrities have teamed up to provide face-shields to the frontline workers of GHMC. Actors like Rana Daggubati, Lakshmi Manchu, Navdeep, and Allu Sirish have taken up this initiative.
These actors have donated the necessary face-shields to all the working frontline employees of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. Tollywood actors have always been in the front to support people in need. Even in corona times, many actors have announced donations to CM relief funds of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. After that, a dedicated fund was set-up, called Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) fund. This initiative got taken up to help the daily wage and poor workers of the Telugu film industry. Many celebrities have also donated for this cause. Now, they have taken up this noble cause.
Meanwhile, we hear that many other actors will also join this initiative soon. The film industry has incurred a huge loss due to this pandemic. All the film productions got stalled, releases got postponed and theaters got shut down during this lockdown. Everything will get resumed once the situation comes back to the normal state.
